How did I get here?

I came to my career in UX the same way I come to most conclusions - iteratively, thoughtfully and with a lot of research.

In college, I wanted to be a poet, which meant learning how to play with language and connect it to emotions. I quickly realized that "professional poet" means "very poor," so I worked as a journalist and transitioned to nonprofit fundraising.

After five years in nonprofits, I pursued a master's degree in communication, focusing on information and communications technology and change management. I completed my capstone research on communication strategy for artificial intelligence adoption.
